Family Migration

Family Migration is for people who can be sponsored by a relative who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident;

Family Migration applicants migrants must be sponsored by a close family member or fiancé(s) living in Australia. The sponsor must be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, and would usually be 18 years of age or older. Like all migrants, Family Migration applicants are assessed on an individual basis and they MUST be assessed against Australia's health and character requirements. Applicants can be sponsored for migration or permanent residence in one of the following visa categories:

· Partner Migration
Partner migration is migration to Australia as the spouse, prospective spouse (fiancé(e)) or interdependent partner of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

· Child Migration
Child migration is migration to Australia as the dependent child, orphan relative or adopted child of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

· Parent Migration
Parents can migrate to Australia if they have a child in Australia who is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

· 'Other Family' Migration
Other Family migration is migration to Australia as an aged dependent relative, remaining relative or carer of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.
